Blockwatch enlists the participation of citizens in cooperation with the police to reduce crime in our neighborhoods. This involves citizens getting to know each other and working together in a program of mutual assistance; citizens being trained to recognize and report suspicious activity and the implementation of crime prevention techniques. With this training and guidance from police, a Watch can become a committed team, working on safety concerns within the neighborhoods as well as the community.

Crime Update Registration:

The Westerville Division of Police will routinely send  Crime Updates to registered users via email. The updates provide users with a summary of incidents that have occurred within the city that required a police response. Due to the volume of calls for service, we do not include all of the incidents in the crime update. You can also email crimeprevention@westerville.org if you have any questions about incidents.
