Westerville's involvement with Pediatric CPAP
Westerville Division of Fire has been working with Nationwide Children’s Hospital to deploy Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy for pediatric patients since 2018. We were one of the first departments in the country to add this life saving therapy to our EMS Medic vehicles. We assisted local fire departments and healthcare providers to incorporate CPAP into their protocols. This therapy has been instrumental as we transport children for emergency care. We even have an oxygen mask on our Medic vehicles for your furry friends too!
