Tax Facts

  • You are responsible for paying additional tax if the tax rate where you live is greater than where you work.
  • Social Security benefits, pension income, welfare payments, state unemployment, worker's compensation, interest and dividends are not subject to city tax.
  • Under 18 residents: You do not need to file a tax return if you were under 18 for the entire year. In fact, if your employer withheld Westerville Local Tax from your wages, you are eligible for a refund and can use the Under 18 Refund Form under the current year Individual Tax Forms.
