D.A.R.E. is presented in 11 elementary schools in the Westerville Local School District. D.A.R.E. is a life-skills based prevention effort that concentrates on self-esteem, consequence s, risk analysis, and decision-making skills. D.A.R.E. teaches alternative activities to drug abuse and other destructive behavior and has been successful in strengthening the relationship between the WPD and the community.
