The Westerville Division of Fire is partnering with the American Red Cross to offer free smoke detectors and installation for Westerville and Blendon Township families. Simply put: you call, we'll install.

The Westerville Fire Prevention Bureau is at your serviceWhen you schedule your smoke detector appointment, be sure to ask for a free, in-home fire safety inspection. A WFD representative will assess your home for fire risks and make recommendations to help protect your home and family. |
How old are your smoke detectors? How old are their batteries?
In addition to replacing smoke detectors every 10 years, the Westerville Division of Fire encourages residents to test their smoke detectors monthly (by simply pressing the "test" button on the devices) and replace backup batteries at least once a year.
