The Westerville Division of Police recognizes the need to educate our senior citizen population about crime prevention. Many seniors are fearful of crime, however, with education that fear can be diminished. There are many simple precautions that can reduce a person's chances of being victimized. The Westerville Division of Police offers a full day of education covering a range of topics including insurance fraud and scams, identity theft protection, personal safety and security solutions, care giving aid, and estate planning. This event is called Serving Our Seniors Day (S.O.S. Day).
S.O.S. Day is designed for seniors, as well as caregivers. There will be local experts in attendance to answer questions and provide information on resources and services to protect older adults. We will also offer DOOR PRIZES and a FREE lunch.
