On April 8, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States and Canada. Get a glimpse of the breathtaking view (with protective eye gear) while celebrating the occasion with fellow community members at the Total Eclipse Viewing Party. The first 500 participants will receive gift bags. Approximately 1,000 free eclipse glasses will be available and will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

 The City of Westerville is proud to partner with the Westerville Public Library, Visit Westerville, Westerville City Schools and the Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce to host this once-in-a-generation event. The Westerville Public Service Department will provide recycling bins at the event for anyone who would like to donate their gently used eclipse glasses. The glasses will be sent to schools in Latin America for use during the solar eclipse in their region in October 2024.
