The Planning and Development Department is responsible for all aspects of development of the physical environment within the City of Westerville.

The department consists of the following Divisions which through the development review process ensure that changes to the physical environment conform to adopted plans, laws, policies, professional standards, community expectations and Board or Commission approvals.

The City of Westerville will manage and make available public records in accordance with all applicable laws, ordinances, and the City Records Retention schedule.

Election Sign Drop-Off

Help reduce waste through proper disposal of coroplast election signs and metal stands. The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) is hosting a free election yard sign recycling event for Franklin County residents on Saturday, Nov. 11, from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Bill McDonald Athletic Complex (4990 Olentangy River Rd.).

Paper signs can be placed with curbside recyclables.
