The Planning and Development Department is responsible for all aspects of development of the physical environment within the City of Westerville.

The department consists of the following Divisions which through the development review process ensure that changes to the physical environment conform to adopted plans, laws, policies, professional standards, community expectations and Board or Commission approvals.

The City of Westerville will manage and make available public records in accordance with all applicable laws, ordinances, and the City Records Retention schedule.

Community Center Closed for Annual Maintenance

Community Center Annual Maintenance Scheduled for Monday, Aug. 28 - Sunday, Sept. 3

The last week of August and the first week of September is the annual cleaning and maintenance time for the Westerville Community Center. During these days, the Center (including the Senior Center) undergoes a maintenance period for deep cleaning and repairs in an effort to continue providing the highest quality and safest experience for pass holders and guests. 

This year, in addition to the normal week-long scheduled period, the indoor pool complex will close for an extended time for ceiling and roof repairs. Starting Tuesday, Aug. 15, through Monday, Sept. 4 (reopening Tuesday, Sept. 5), painting will take place on the ceiling while roof repairs are underway. 

Highlands Park Aquatic Center (HPAC) will again be open to accommodate Community Center pass holders and daily attendees. HPAC hours can be found at www.westerville.org/hours.
